About the Senior Fee

The 2025-26 Senior Fee is $110.

  • The Senior Fee pays for items related to graduation: gown, cap, stole, tassel, diploma, diploma cover, Civic Center parking, graduation supplies, programs, the graduation ad in the Tallahassee Democrat, and a Celebration event. It also covers other expenses related to the Senior Class.
  • This fee MUST be paid before paying for the Senior Trip.
  • Partial payments can be made, but the full amount is due by February 6, 2026.
  • Pay Ms. Green in room 312 or at the front desk. We accept cash, money orders, or checks (payable to Godby High School).
  • You can also pay online via eFunds. There is a convenience fee for using this service. It will vary depending on the source of funds - checking account payments vs. credit/debit payments.

Important Dates

About Graduation

Participation in the graduation ceremony is a privilege, not a right. In order to participate in graduation activities, seniors are required to meet all statutory, school board and school requirements and participate in the mandatory graduation rehearsal.

Thursday, May 21, 2026

  • 10a-11:45a
  • Seniors should be in their seats by 9:50a
  • Donald L. Tucker Civic Center
  • Enter through the lobby doors next to the ticket booth and go down the escalator to the bottom level.
  • Must attend to participate in graduation
  • You should wear business casual attire. Absolutely NO HEAD COVERINGS of any kind are permitted; no pajamas; no cut-off shorts; no crop tops; no spaghetti straps.  Administrators will be checking before you can enter.  You will be turned away if you are not dressed appropriately.

Saturday, May 23, 2026

  • The ceremony starts at 10a.
  • Donald L. Tucker Civic Center
  • Graduates should be there by 9:30a.
  • Graduates enter from the plaza to the ticket lobby and down the escalators. 
  • Family & Friends enter through the main lobby doors
  • Main Doors will open at 9a.
  • Donald L. Tucker Civic Center staff members will search bags and provide a metal detector scan before entering the venue, as is done for all events.
  • Parking is free
  • Concessions will be open
  • For guests not able to attend the in-person ceremony, the ceremony will be live-streamed on the Leon County Schools Facebook page and then rebroadcast on Comcast Channel 1095TV. 

During the ceremony, and within the printed program, we will recognize students graduating with honors. We will use the student's cumulative weighted GPA as calculated on the 7th-semester report card. Note- We do not round up.

  • a Valedictorian (highest GPA)
  • a Salutatorian (second highest GPA)
  • Summa Cum Laude (4.4 and higher) - gold cord
  • Magna Cum Laude (4.25 - 4.399) - silver cord
  • Cum Laude (4.0 - 4.249)- bronze cord
  • Commended Scholars (3.5 - 3.999) -  white cord

Additionally, students may wear a cord/pin if they meet the specific criteria for the honor: 

  • National Honor Society
  • National Art Honor Society
  • National Spanish Honor Society
  • Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society
  • International Thespian Society
  • National Press Association
  • National Technical Honor Society
  • Tri-M Music Honor Society
  • Certified Nursing Program
  • Certified EMT Program
  • Phlebotomy Program
  • Earned AA degree from TSC
  • Enlisting in the Military
  • AVID
  • SGA

What to Wear

  • Girls - Dress (hem shorter than gown) or dress shirt/pants, low-heeled shoes.
  • Boys - Dress shirt, tie, dress pants, dress shoes, and socks.
  • Do not wear bright colors or patterns. They will show through the white gown.
  • You may only wear the school-issued cap, gown, tassel, stole, and honor cord(s).
  • You may not decorate the cap.
